My focus is advocating for my clients…

“We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Often people meet with me seeking relief from the onslaught of litigation. The stress of disagreement and contentiousness within marital and family law litigation impacts all people differently, but the stress shows no favoritism on who will be impacted by its wrath. My clients find solace in knowing that I am by their side helping them navigate their case. And for the entirety of my career, I have focused my practice on marital and family law matters. Whether it is their divorce, a paternity case, a desire to relocate with their child, alimony or child support actions or supplemental modification petitions, I confidently guide my clients to resolving their case either by agreement or if necessary, at trial.

Some of my proudest moments have especially come when representing clients where a child’s safety is at issue. Advocating to the court in those instances was rewarding, especially knowing that me and my staff accomplished the goal of keeping a child safe from an abusive or neglectful parent.

Myself and the other attorneys at Long & Alguadich, PLLC handle complex matrimonial matters, as well as uncontested dissolution of marriage proceedings. Our focus is to help our clients confront the personal difficulties they find themselves in while successfully navigating them through the legal proceedings of a divorce, custody or paternity proceedings.

A little about me…While I have lived in Southwest Florida for most of my life, I lived in Tampa for while attending from the University of South Florida and Stetson University College of Law, where I received by Bachelors and Juris Doctor degrees. While attending Stetson, I earned the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, demonstrating promise and knowledge in the ability to advocate in a trial setting. Soon thereafter, my wife and I moved back to Southwest Florida to be close to family and become more involved with our community. Since 2014, I have been actively involved with the Lee County Association for Remarkable Citizens and presently, I am the vice-chair of the Family Law Section of the Collier County Bar Association. My role as a member of the Florida Bar also expands beyond my local involvement as I am a sitting member of the Continuing Legal Education Committee and assist with the continued development and education of attorneys practicing in Florida.

Prior to founding Long & Alguadich, PLLC, I was a sole practitioner and a member of the firm Long, Murphy & Long, P.A.
